Kia’s newest Niro EV is once more portion of a multi-pronged product lineup that contains the two common hybrid and a plug-in hybrid iterations. The totally electric version delivers an EPA-rated 253 miles of range, but it lacks the 800-volt architecture (and efficiency) of the greater EV6. Its 201 horsepower puts it on even footing with competition like the Chevy Bolt EUV and Volkswagen ID.4, and its “aero pillar” D-pillar aids it stand out among the group of small crossovers. But supplied the superiority of the EV6, the Niro EV’s charm is primarily rooted in its cost-effective rate. Which hasn’t still been nailed down, but we be expecting to start at about $33,000.
