The On-Screen Evolution of the Batmobile

Jeff Lincoln March 3, 2022

1997

1997‘s Batman & Robin was the last installment to the 1989 sequence. With a new Batman, this time performed by George Clooney, Ling determined to give the Batmobile an additional shot. Taking inspiration from classic roadsters like the Jaguar D-Form, this car was 30 ft extended with an open up cockpit. It could also go up to 140 mph and was absolutely absolutely nothing to play with.

That exact same year’s animated version with Kevin Conroy presented a a bit wider Batmobile than just before. A two-seater with jet engines, this model lasted as a result of the early 2000s and appeared in the comics printed during that time.
