Hyundai, Boston Dynamics Invest $400 Million To Make Robots Smarter

Hyundai Motor Group and Boston Dynamics introduced the launch of the Boston Dynamics AI Institute. The research-to start with organization’s goal is to make basic improvements in synthetic intelligence (AI), robotics, and intelligent equipment.

As an preliminary financial commitment, Hyundai and Boston Dynamics make an original financial investment of over $400 million in the new Institute, which will be led by Marc Raibert, founder of Boston Dynamics.

To recall, Hyundai purchased Boston Dynamics in 2020, which led to the use of the robotic service canines in Hyundai and Kia factories.
